WHIreland continues to expand its Milton Keynes wealth management services and appoints Daniel Smith as Wealth Planner

WHIreland has appointed Daniel Smith as Wealth Planner to WHIreland’s Milton Keynes office as part of its continuing plans to grow its holistic, advice led wealth management offering to existing and new clients.

Born in Plaistow, Daniel is an Independent Wealth Planner with over 28 years’ experience in financial services which has included Director of Specialist Advice at Coutts & Co and Managing Director of an IFA business owned by a top 50 firm of Chartered Accountants based in East Anglia.

Since graduating from the University of Kent at Canterbury where he gained a BA (Hons) in Law, Daniel has continued his professional development gaining both Chartered and Certified Financial Planner status as well as an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (AFPC, DipFPS) including Pension Transfer Specialism (G60).

Daniel will be providing financial advice to existing and new clients of WHIreland in an increasingly complex financial landscape; helping them plan to achieve their financial goals.  Commenting on his new role at WHIreland, Daniel said: “While successive governments have told us that they have worked to simplify the financial world, in my opinion there has never been a more confusing time for investors. Society is evolving and individuals face the same financial challenges which have always existed, such as saving and paying for a home, accumulating sufficient assets to retire on and if possible, creating a family legacy – all against a backdrop of increasing life expectancy.  Financial planning has never been more important and I am very much looking forward to working with WHIreland’s clients to help them achieve their financial ambitions.”

Announcing the appointment, Head of Wealth Planning at WHIreland, Christy Morrison, said: “I am delighted to welcome someone of Daniel’s calibre and experience to our wealth management team in Milton Keynes. We have not previously had any locally-based dedicated financial planning expertise in the city. Daniel’s passion for all aspects of financial planning fits perfectly with our strategy of providing a quality advice led service to complement our discretionary investment management services. I am very much looking forward to working with Daniel and welcome him to the team.”
