WHIreland appoints Stephen Ford as new Head of Wealth Management

Highly experienced Stephen Ford formally joined WHIreland as Head of Wealth Management on the 25th February.

Stephen started his career with a major retailer before moving into a finance career with Bradford & Bingley where he qualified as a Financial Planner.  He went on to lead the Financial Services division at the Cumberland Building Society and after four years in the Lake District he moved to London where he joined Brewin Dolphin PLC as an investment manager.  During a long career at Brewin’s he led the change program that transformed the firm into a wealth manager and his final role was as Head of Wealth Management.  He then moved to City Asset Management as Head of Sales and refocused the firms proposition around real-returns, significantly lifting the firms AUM.

Stephen holds the Advanced Financial Planning qualification from the CII, and is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a CAIA® Charterholder.  Stephen is also a Non-Exec Director of Hertfordshire Catering Limited and sits on the Finance Committee for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability.
