Our London office is the Group’s Head Office based in the heart of the City financial district. Our team of Investment Managers manage wealth for individuals, trusts, pension funds, charities and corporates both as direct clients and indirectly through introductions via intermediaries.
Employing over 80 people, our full range of Wealth Management, Wealth Planning, Corporate & Institutional Broking and Corporate Finance services are available.
The Wealth Management team in London work with our clients across London and the South East of England. We welcome our clients at our offices, where they can meet their Investment Manager.
Michael brings significant experience of building and running substantial wealth management businesses, having previously been a senior member of UBS’s wealth management business for over 20 years. He started his wealth management career as a founding employee of UBS’s UK domestic wealth management business in 2000; having grown UBS’s business in the UK, he spent two years in Switzerland integrating the teams covering origination, investment and client relationships across the UK business. He then developed an Institutional Family Office business whilst being responsible for UBS’s Ultra High Net Worth teams across Northern Europe.
Michael joined WH Ireland as Head of Wealth Management in January 2022.
Steve joined WHIreland in 2017, after a 20-year career at Coutts & Co, where he was Wealth Team Leader & Director, establishing the Milton Keynes office in 2006. Prior to Milton Keynes, Steve was a Senior Private Banker for Coutts in Oxford and in their London head office, having previously held a number of senior Private Banking positions at NatWest including training NatWest Private Bankers at the Heythrop Park training centre.
Steve is a Chartered Wealth Manager and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (FCSI).
Robert is an Independent Financial Planner with over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry after graduating from Bournemouth University in 2002 with a degree in Financial Services. He holds both Chartered and Certified Financial Planner status – qualifications considered to represent the ultimate symbol of professionalism.
Robert has developed a strong technical knowledge with a particular focus on retirement and estate planning. He places emphasis on looking to build long-term relationships and delivering clear and concise solutions to help clients and their families achieve their financial ambitions.
Ekaterina is an investment and risk professional with 16 years’ experience gained within 3 major banks in the UK and Switzerland. She has an extensive practical knowledge and expertise of HNW & UHNW private client portfolio management for individuals, companies & trusts. In her latest role at UBS, Ekaterina was leading the Competence and Supervision controls for UBS Business Risk Office in London covering over 300 regulated staff across the UK. She is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI, a Chartered Manager of CMI and holds a Diploma in Investment Compliance. Ekaterina joined WH Ireland in April 2022.
Shalu has a breadth of knowledge and experience based on her previous roles working with High Net Worth Individuals, Entrepreneurs, Trustees and Corporate Clients. She has over 12 years’ experience in Wealth Management having qualified as a Lawyer first (graded with Distinction at the Legal Practice Course) and then gaining further qualifications with both the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Shalu holds qualifications to level 6 and holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management.
Shalu prides herself in developing a full understanding of clients’ circumstances, aspirations and preferences and advises from a holistic point of view. She has strong relationship management skills and regularly works alongside clients’ legal, fiduciary and tax advisers. She builds trust and personal credibility by putting the clients’ needs at the heart of her approach to Financial Planning .
Kevin began his career in South Africa after the completion of his undergraduate and postgraduate finance degrees, where he spent a few years at a major bank. He then relocated to the UK where he worked for over 15 years at Ruffer LLP, the most of which as an Investment Manager and latterly as an Investment Director. He has a passion for providing the highest level of service to clients as well as a strong interest in financial markets and portfolio management, having gained vast experience in this respect during his career. Kevin is part of the Wealth Management Team at WH Ireland, and is based in the London office. He is responsible for the management of discretionary investment portfolios for Private Clients, SIPPs, Trusts and Charities.
Kevin is Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (UK) and joined WH Ireland in 2023.
Katharine is an investment professional at WH Ireland, having joined the London team over 2 years ago. She is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and is currently working towards achieving her Chartered Wealth Manager status. In addition to this, she is very interested in ESG investments and is working towards her ESG CFA certificate. Katharine works closely with our Chief Investment Office and is a member of the Stock Selection, Collectives and Asset Allocation committees, as well as being a part of the EIS and AIM portfolio team.
Prior to her time at WH Ireland, Katharine studied Biological Sciences at Exeter University where she achieved a 2:1. Following this she went on to conduct scientific research at Imperial College London, from which her research was published in several academic journals, including Nature.
Outside of work, Katharine enjoys going to comedy shows, being a foodie and getting involved in outdoor activities such as running, cycling and hiking.
Dexter leads our Execution-Only desk and is the main point of contact for clients utilising our brokerage service. He has over 7 years’ experience in the financial services industry, starting out in the big banking sector and joining WH Ireland at the beginning of 2020.
After attending Kirkham Grammar School in Lancashire, Dexter studied at University in Manchester, attaining a BA (Hons) in Business Finance.
Dexter prides himself on working to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients’, and offers a broad and in-depth knowledge of the industry.
Tom is a Graduate Trainee Wealth Management, currently studying for his Investment Management qualification.
After attending Oundle School in Peterborough, Tom studied at the University of Newcastle, attaining a 2.1 Ba (Hons) in History specialising in Modern History.
Tom has previous experience working with Investment Managers at Charles Stanley which helped develop his understanding of the industry. Prior to that, he has worked as a labourer in construction and within the Hospitality sector.
Tom is a keen fan of Northampton Saints rugby team and enjoys playing sport in his free time.
Danielle is a graduate wealth management trainee, currently studying for her Investment Management qualification. She obtained a First class Ba (Hons) in International business at Nottingham Trent University and completed a summer internship in Sales and Trading at Investec. She obtained a Level 5 qualification with Chartered Management Institution.
Outside of work, she is passionate about mentoring black talent and enjoys learning about emerging markets.
Pratishtha has started her career as a Wealth Management Trainee at WH Ireland. Her work has been focused on supporting the Execution Only desk along with the discretionary clients. Before joining WH Ireland, Pratishtha worked at the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, fostering investment and trade between the Arab region and UK.
Prior to joining WH Ireland, Pratishtha graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a master’s degree in International Political Economy. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and English Literature from the University of Delhi, where she specialised in Economics of Labour Migration.
Pratishtha is fluent in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and conversational French.
