Established in 2008, our Henley-on-Thames office began life as Harpsden Wealth Management before being acquired by WH Ireland in 2020. We are dedicated to helping private clients and trustees to build, manage and protect their wealth throughout the generations.

The office is led by Jeremy Arthur, who is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society with over 30 years’ experience as an Independent Financial Adviser.

Jeremy is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society with over 30 years’ experience as an Independent Financial Adviser. He is passionate about building client relationships and providing a proactive ongoing service.
Jeremy has extensive experience of advising high net worth clients and trustees, encompassing financial planning, tax planning, investments, financial protection and estate planning. He works closely with his client’s legal and tax advisers to deliver cohesive and long term inter-generational planning.
Ian has over 25 years’ fund management experience with globally renowned institutions.
He has been involved in global asset allocation since 1994 and in the four years to January 2008 was Head of Fund of Funds at Invesco Perpetual, where he was responsible for global asset allocation on over £1.8 billion of assets. Under his stewardship, the Invesco Perpetual World Growth and World Income Funds were both “AA” rated by independent ratings agency Standard & Poor’s. During both 2006 and 2007, Ian was voted one of the most consistent fund managers in the Investment Week/Standard & Poor’s Fund of Funds sector.
Ian left Invesco Perpetual in January 2008 to co-found Harpsden Wealth Management with Jeremy Arthur. In 2012 and 2013 Ian won a prestigious Gold Standard Award for Discretionary Portfolio Management.
Erica qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 with KPMG in Dublin. She was recruited by Commercial Union (now Aviva) and moved to London, undertaking various roles there including Financial Controller of Commercial Union Financial Services and Research and Planning Executive in UK Business Planning.
Erica has been involved with Harpsden Wealth Management since its inception in 2008 as Company Secretary and Finance Director. Following WH Ireland plc Group’s acquisition of Harpsden in 2021, she was appointed Head of Wealth Planning Operations at WH Ireland.
Roland has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry which he joined straight from university.
He has been an independent financial adviser for over 30 years with a specialism in pensions and retirement planning. He strongly believes pensions should be seen in the context of holistic financial planning and not in isolation. Roland has advised many leading professionals, business owners and individual investors on pensions and retirement planning and has been widely quoted in the national press on pensions issues.
Jack joined WH Ireland in December 2020 after the acquisition of Harpsden Wealth Management, where he had worked in fund selection, research and portfolio management since 2017. Jack’s role includes helping to manage the central model portfolio service and maintenance of a multi-asset approved list of collectives, UK Equities and ETFs. One particular area of specialisation has been responsible investment, where he has contributed to the progression of the Sustainable Model Portfolio Service and the launch of a stand-alone Sustainable investment offering at WH Ireland.
Jack holds a degree in Economics from Durham University, is a CFA Charterholder, and sits on the Asset Allocation, Collectives and Stocks Committees.
Steve has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry with more than 25 years working as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). He initially worked with Lloyds Bank and Standard Life. In 1996 he joined his father’s IFA business, Keith Johnston & Partners Ltd, and over the years he helped build this into an extremely successful practice with a first-class reputation. In 2015 Keith Johnston & Partners Ltd was sold to Harpsden Wealth Management Ltd which was subsequently acquired by WH Ireland in 2020.
In 2005, Steve was in the first ever group of individuals to be awarded Chartered Financial Planner status and he remains a committed advocate of raising professional standards throughout the industry. Steve enjoys all aspects of financial planning particularly building long term relationships with his clients and helping them and their families meet all their financial objectives by utilising his experience and expertise.
Gerald has over 30 years’ experience of working in the personal financial planning sector. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to WH Ireland, having held various roles including management, advisory and compliance functions within both small and large businesses.
Gerald has a firm belief that financial planning should be delivered with honesty and integrity and that first and foremost it is about helping individuals achieve their objectives. To do this he focuses on understanding his client’s needs, building long-term relationships enabling him to identify and help them achieve their short, medium and long-term financial objectives.
