Strong growth from WHIreland as Isle of Man office marks two years in business

Wealth manager WH Ireland is enjoying strong growth in its international client base as its Isle of Man office marks two years in business.

WH Ireland’s Private Client arm offers wealth management and wealth planning services tailored to private clients, corporates and trusts in the UK and internationally from the Isle of Man, with the company now recording c.£2.5 billion of assets under management and direction.
This month marks two years since the launch of its wholly owned subsidiary WH Ireland (IOM) Limited, a period in which it has combined superior personal service with all the advantages of investing in a highly rated jurisdiction and a top-tier International Business Centre (IBC).

Richard Killingbeck, Group CEO, WH Ireland, said: “Our Isle of Man office has had a hugely successful first two years. This has culminated in excellent growth in our local and international client base, having contributed to a significant growth in our discretionary assets under management. We have also widened our international distribution channels and have formed a number of strategic partnerships. We continue to be committed to further increasing our assets under management through the delivery of a highly bespoke and superior level of client service.“

As part of its commitment to the continued growth of its international presence, WH Ireland has expanded its team with two senior appointments.

Hannah Holden is WH Ireland’s new Head of Marketing, supporting the growth of the Wealth Management division from London, while Symon Walmsley has been appointed Group Marketing Manager for the UK and international businesses and is based in the company’s Isle of Man office.

Will Corrin, Managing Director, WH Ireland (IOM) Limited said: “The Isle of Man team continues to grow, and this has been reinforced by the appointment of Symon, supported from London by Hannah. They join us at a crucial stage in our development, and their wealth of experience will be invaluable in further strengthening our marketing expertise. Their involvement in driving forward our vision and aspirations, both in the UK and internationally, is a major step in advancing the strategic development of accelerating the growth of our discretionary assets under management.”

Hannah has more than 15 years’ experience in marketing and business development in the finance sector, working with private clients, intermediaries, financial advisers and institutions. Her career has taken in roles across several businesses, including Wells Fargo Asset Management, Future Capital Partners, Albion Ventures, Close Brothers Asset Management and Premier Asset Management.

Having started his career with NatWest Bank, Symon spent 11 years with Close Brothers Asset Management both in the Isle of Man and UK before joining Alliance & Leicester International as Marketing Communications Manager in 2011, and ultimately Santander in the Isle of Man in May 2013.

Hannah Holden, WH Ireland’s Head of Marketing, said: “Joining WH Ireland as the Group focuses on significantly increasing its share of the wealth management market is an exciting prospect. As we continue to develop, I am looking forward to being part of a team expanding our market-led investment proposition for both advisers and private clients and continuing the growth of our Wealth Management business.”

Symon Walmsley, WH Ireland’s Group Marketing Manager, said: “WH Ireland has a solid track record and a strong heritage, and the passion of the Wealth Management team across the Group is clear. I am pleased that WH Ireland has based its international presence from the Isle of Man and the commitment of the team here to superior client service has seen impressive growth in just two years.”
