Independent advice: what does it mean?
You might think that independent advice is the only option when it comes to choosing a financial adviser, however this is not always the case.
It is often the situation that financial advisers might be tied or restricted to recommending their own products. Other financial advisers may hold relationships with a single external provider, and may only make recommendations for their products. This type of advice is called restricted advice.
