Financial Fitness

During October, we were delighted to participate in the CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment) Financial Planning Week which ran from 3rd to 10th October. Each year, the initiative aims to help improve the financial fitness of the UK public to achieve financial wellbeing, resilience and life goal planning.

Commenting on our participation, Christy Morrison, Head of Wealth Planning at WHIreland said: “Our expert Financial Planners are ready to help everyone, no matter what their age or financial circumstances. Financial planners can help people achieve their life goals, build financial confidence, combat anxiety and stress about money and deal with life’s challenges around day-to-day financial decisions.

At WHIreland, our free initial consultation offers our clients the opportunity of having a face-to-face meeting with a qualified financial planner who will spend time talking about their life goals and helping them plan how to achieve them.”

We understand that the world of financial services can be a complex area. Having a financial plan that continues to evolve with you, helping you to move towards achieving your financial ambitions and goals, can make a significant difference.

Many people do not have the time nor the understanding of the ever-changing pensions legislation or the myriad of products and services that are available, to undertake effective planning, and thus, securing their financial future. Whether you are a working individual, have children or run a business, securing yours and your family’s financial future is essential.

Over the past twelve months, we have further extended our wealth planning services and we were delighted to welcome both Robert Gout and Daniel Smith to our wealth planning team.

DANIEL SMITH, MILTON KEYNES

Daniel has over 28 years’ experience in financial services which has included Director of Specialist Advice at Coutts & Co and Managing Director of an IFA business owned by a top 50 firm of Chartered Accountants based in East Anglia.

Commenting on his new role at WHIreland, Daniel said: “While successive governments have told us that they have worked to simplify the financial world, in my opinion there has never been a more confusing time for investors. Society is evolving and individuals face the same financial challenges which have always existed, such as saving and paying for a home, accumulating sufficient assets to retire on and if possible, creating a family legacy – all against a backdrop of increasing life expectancy. Financial planning has never been more important.”

ROBERT GOUT, LONDON

Robert has over 15 years’ experience in financial services which has included client facing roles with a number of financial planning firms.

Robert has a particular focus on retirement and estate planning and commenting on his new role he said:
“With the introduction of pension freedoms, there’s a huge demand for advice in this area with many individuals questioning whether to seek advice and transfer out of their gold-plated final salary schemes or retain their current scheme. The reduction of the Lifetime Allowance (LTA) and reduced Annual Allowance in certain situations has also created a number of potential pitfalls for clients and I am excited to work with WHIreland’s clients in an increasingly complex landscape.”

We are delighted to welcome individuals of Daniel and Robert’s calibre and expertise to WHIreland as
we continue to look to provide a quality advice led service to complement our discretionary management services.
